Attic Hatch & Ladder Insulation

A pull-down attic ladder is a hole in your ceiling the size of a door, and most are thin plywood with gaps around the frame. Warm air leaks up and hot air leaks down all year, and nothing in the attic can fix it.

We build and install insulated covers, weatherstripped hatches and sealed frames across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. We fit rigid foam boxes over pull-down stairs, seal the trim and keep the ladder fully usable.

FAQ

Common questions about attic hatch & ladder

Can you insulate a ladder I use often?

Yes. The cover is hinged or lifts off so the ladder works as normal.

Is a cover really needed?

Yes. Untreated hatches are among the biggest leaks in many ceilings.

Will foam board hurt the ladder?

No. We keep clear space so the ladder folds as designed.
