Blown-In Attic Insulation

The attic floor is the biggest and easiest place to insulate, and it is the layer that matters most. Blown-in insulation flows around joists, pipes and wires and settles into corners where batts leave gaps, so the whole ceiling gets a continuous blanket.

We blow attic insulation for homes across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Depth markers show how much we installed, baffles keep the eaves open for airflow and recessed lights, bath fans and chimneys are handled correctly so the insulation does the job it is meant to do.

FAQ

Common questions about blown-in attic insulation

How much insulation does my attic need?

In Middle Tennessee's climate, R-49 to R-60 is a common target for attics. We check what you have and recommend the right depth.

Is cellulose or fiberglass better?

Both perform well. We explain the differences in density, fire treatment and settling and recommend one for your attic.

Do you remove the old insulation first?

Only when it is wet, dirty or damaged. Otherwise new insulation can go over it.
