Walls, Floors & Crawl Spaces

Batt and roll insulation installed with care, because a poorly fitted batt barely works

Fiberglass and mineral wool batts perform well when they fit snugly with no gaps, compression or voids. We install them that way.

Batt & Roll Insulation

Batts are the classic insulation, and they are only as good as the installation. A batt that is crushed, folded or cut short can lose a large share of its rated performance. The key is a clean cut, a snug fit and no gaps around wires, boxes and corners.

We install fiberglass and mineral wool batts and rolls for homes, additions and shops across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Our crews split batts around wiring, fit them fully into the cavity, support them in floors and keep faced batts oriented the right way.

FAQ

Common questions about batt & roll insulation

Are batts as good as spray foam?

Well-installed batts perform well, but they do not seal air. We often pair them with air sealing for a stronger result.

What is the difference between fiberglass and mineral wool?

Mineral wool is denser, handles heat and fire better and blocks more sound. Fiberglass is lighter and common.

What does the paper facing do?

It acts as a vapor retarder and must face the right way for the climate and the assembly.
