Pipe & Water Heater Insulation

Pipes in crawl spaces, attics and garages are exposed to winter cold, and a freeze can mean a burst pipe and a flooded house. Insulation slows heat loss so pipes are less likely to freeze, and it keeps hot water hot on its way to the tap.

We insulate water pipes, water heaters and exposed plumbing across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. We fit foam sleeves, wrap fittings and valves, add a blanket where the water heater allows it and install insulated covers on outdoor spigots.

FAQ

Common questions about pipe & water heater insulation

Does pipe insulation prevent freezing?

It slows heat loss and reduces risk, but it cannot stop a pipe from freezing in extended extreme cold on its own.

Can I wrap a gas water heater?

Only if the manufacturer allows it. We follow the instructions on each unit.

Do I need insulation on every pipe?

Cold-water pipes in unheated areas and hot-water lines are the priority.
