Studs conduct heat much faster than insulation does, so even a well-filled wall leaks through its frame. Rigid foam board on the outside of the sheathing adds a continuous layer that interrupts those leaks, and a good housewrap and tape make the wall tighter still.
We install exterior foam board with new siding, additions and re-cladding projects across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. We fasten board to the sheathing, tape the seams, flash around windows and doors and coordinate with the siding crew so the finish goes on right.
